Meet Our Team:

Alyssa Harrington

Hello! I grew up in beautiful Te Anau at the bottom of the South Island, and have recently moved back after 6 years in Dunedin. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English, double minoring in Art History and Visual Culture, Film and Media Studies, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Digital Marketing.

After completing my studies I went into freelancing, and spent my spare time providing academic support and tutoring to digital marketing students. Eventually, I ended up here in the not-for-profit space, which is where I found my passion really lies.

Equality, in every possible sense of the word, is a really important social issue to me. I have a disability so have experienced first hand the barriers that come with not fitting the societal ‘norm,’ and how much of an issue that still is for many New Zealanders.

I am the Digital & Communications Lead here at The Charity Collective, so it’s my job to tell your stories in meaningful, considerate ways that reflect all of the good that you do. I also do some of the grant work that helps secure you that all important funding, so we might connect via that avenue too.
