Meet Our Team:

Dane Moir

Hey, I’m Dane. I grew up on my family’s farm in Lincoln, about thirty minutes outside of Christchurch. I’ve just moved back, which is pretty awesome, as my family has lived on this land for almost 100 years.

Academically, I have a Bachelor of Political Science with Honours, and wrote my thesis on measuring social progress in post-disaster communities. That probably gives you an idea of how I ended up in this field – I care deeply about a range of social issues that cause inequity within our communities. I’m also deeply passionate about climate change, biodiversity, and the preservation and restoration of our natural environment.

In my lifetime, I’d love to see effort and commitment put into ensuring our tamariki and whānau have access to their basic needs, regardless of background. I believe that child poverty is the single biggest issue we face as a society, and it desperately needs addressed.

At The Charity Collective, I work in the grant funding space. This means it’s my job to tell your stories in ways that resonate with different funder’s values, helping you to achieve better outcomes.
