Hey there, I’m Emily! I’m from British Columbia, Canada, but have spent most of my time in Calgary. Currently I’m back in British Columbia spending time with my sister and nephews. I have a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science, and have recently finished a Master's degree in International Security Management.

From a social cause standpoint, I really care about women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights, and hope to see access to universal healthcare and pharmacare for all in my lifetime. After some of my favourite people needed access to urgent healthcare and felt the financial effects of living with chronic illnesses, I realised that even though healthcare may be universal in Canada, that doesn't always mean it's equitable, or that all necessary equipment and medications are affordable. I hope that the work of The Charity Collective can help bring about meaningful change and impact on the lives of New Zealanders.
